This is the time of year when we should be preparing for our 4th of July Fireworks Show, capping off an amazing day of celebration. Unfortunately, this year did not go as we planned. Instead, this Independence Day, there will be no parade down Mira Mesa’s Streets, our parks will have no campers, and our night skies will be empty of fireworks. However, instead of being sad at what we cannot do, we are resolved to be happy for what we can.
We will post some great ideas to help you celebrate with your family, and remain safe during this week. We hope that you will share with us your work so we can all continue to celebrate together.
We thank everyone for the support they have shown to Scripps Mesa Fireworks, to Mira Mesa Town Council, and to everyone in the community. In working together, we will come out of this stronger.
PS: Personal fireworks are still illegal in San Diego County. Respect the law and your neighbors, please don’t set them off.
