2020 Marks the Fourth Year of the Contest for Students in Kindergarten Through 5th Grade
San Diego, CA — May 4, 2020 — Scripps Mesa Fireworks proudly named Jaina, a second grader at Hage Elementary School, the winner of the Fourth Annual Scripps Mesa Fireworks T-Shirt Design Contest. Jaina’s entry was selected from over 240 entries across 10 participating schools in the Scripps Ranch and Mira Mesa communities of San Diego, California.
The contest, open to students from Kindergarten through 5th Grade, began in 2017. The previous winners are Melody from Jonas Salk Elementary (2017), and Vidhu from Hickman Elementary (2018), and Neha from Dingeman Elementary (2019).
Jaina is the youngest winner of the Annual Design Contest.
“The annual T-Shirt Design Contest is, aside from 4th of July, my favorite time of the year for Scripps Mesa Fireworks,” said Michael Spencer, President of Scripps Mesa Fireworks. “Our volunteers are always awed by the amazing work the children create, and choosing a winner becomes more difficult with every passing year.”
Jaina will be awarded a T-Shirt with her winning design, and a $25 gift certificate to Barnes and Noble, as well as several surprise extras in recognition of her accomplishment. Additionally, her teacher will receive a thank you gift from Scripps Mesa Fireworks.
