2019 Marks the Third Year of the Contest for Students in Kindergarten Through 5th Grade
Scripps Mesa Fireworks proudly named Neha Yalamanchili, a third grader at Dingeman Elementary School, the winner of the Third Annual Scripps Mesa Fireworks T-Shirt Design Contest. Neha’s entry was selected from over 400 entries across 12 participating schools in the Scripps Ranch and Mira Mesa communities of San Diego, California.
The contest, open to students from Kindergarten through 5th Grade, began in 2017. Neha joins previous winners Melody Nguyen from Jonas Salk Elementary (2017), and Vidhu Thalla from Hickman Elementary (2018) in having their designs made into the annual T-Shirts. Scripps Mesa Fireworks provides these as a thank you for $10 donations to the fireworks.
This was the first winner from a school in the Scripps Ranch Community.
“We were excited to see so many entries, including participation from Scripps Ranch schools. That the first winner from Scripps Ranch is from the school named for Colonel Dingeman, someone so important to the local community, seems exceptionally special.”
Michael Spencer, President
