Scripps Mesa Fireworks Show Set for Friday, July 3, 2026!

Independence Day Fireworks will light the skies over Mira Mesa on Friday July 3, 2026.

San Diego, CA — February 6, 2026 — Scripps Mesa Fireworks proudly announces the date of Mira Mesa’s Independence Weekend Fireworks Show for the residents of Scripps Ranch, Mira Mesa, and all of San Diego. The fireworks show will occur on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 9:00 p.m., lighting up the skies over Wangenheim Middle School. Mira Mesa Town Council will host a community watch party at Hourglass Field starting at 4:00 p.m.

“This show marks the 250th birthday of the United States, and we hope the entire community comes out to celebrate,” said Michael Spencer, President of Scripps Mesa Fireworks. “It’s a great way to kick off Independence Day weekend together as neighbors.”

As the Independence Day Fireworks are funded entirely through sponsorships and donations, Scripps Mesa Fireworks invites the community to help make this special anniversary celebration possible. Scripps Mesa Fireworks is a 501(c)(3) Corporation dedicated to raising funds for and organizing the 4th of July Fireworks show over Mira Mesa for the residents of Scripps Ranch, Mira Mesa, Miramar, and all our neighbors. We are a completely volunteer organization with 100% of the money raised going towards the fireworks show and associated permits and insurance. No funding for fireworks comes from city, county, or state sources.
