On August 4th, Scripps Mesa Fireworks launched the #BackToTheFourth campaign with one goal in mind: raising $75,000 to return our community fireworks show to its true home — the 4th of July. This timing is more important than ever, as 2026 will mark the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America.
It’s now been 18 days since our campaign began, and we’re excited to share that we’ve raised $1,875. It’s a wonderful beginning — but it’s clear we have much more work ahead.
Why are we confident? Because Mira Mesa has always been a community that rises to the occasion. For over 50 years, neighbors have gathered on the 4th of July to celebrate with food, fun, and fireworks. And every time, the community has made it possible.
This campaign isn’t just about fireworks — it’s about tradition, togetherness, and passing on something truly special to the next generation.
Here’s how you can help:
- Make a donation of any size at miramesafireworks.org/donate
- Encourage your employer or business to become a sponsor
- Share our campaign with friends, family, and neighbors
- Use the #BackToTheFourth tag on any posts about our show.
Every dollar gets us closer to hearing that cheer when the last firework lights up the sky.
Together, we’ll get Back to the Fourth!
